Frequently Asked Questions

What is the therapy process like?

Before your first session, you will fill out online paperwork to help me better understand your concerns, life situation, and goals. During the first evaluation session, we will get to know each other better and I will ask questions to better understand the root causes of your struggles. I’ll bring the research-based tools and you bring your life experience and together we will make a roadmap for the outcomes you want.

How long will I be in therapy?

Everyone’s situation that brings them to therapy is so different and the length of time fluctuates depending on the person. I will talk with you about frequency and duration that best fits your needs. We will regularly review how progress is going with your therapy goals.

What is the RATE?

My self pay rate is $150 per 50 minute sessions. I am in network with Educators Mutual Insurance (EMI), United Healthcare/UMR, Select Health, and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also accept HSA, FSA and cash/credit cards.

Insurance

I am accepting private pay clients and clients with the health insurance plans listed above.

I can also provide you with a monthly “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement for out-of-network benefits. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance provider to make sure your treatment will be covered.

Cancellation Policy

As long as you cancel 48 hours in advance (by Thursday for Monday appointments), there will be no cancellation fee charged. You can cancel online through the secure client portal, by phone, or by emailing me directly. If you cancel your appointment late or don’t show up for your appointment, the full session rate will be charged to your card. In the case of illness or an emergency, please contact me.
